The search for reincarnation will take us to Lebanon India the UK and
finally Egypt.A phenomena which is given less research then it should be
given is reincarnation.Reincarnation,in contrary to Zombies,is the case
when the soul returns in a new body. The flash-backs usually occur when
subjects are children but they may continue into adulthood. The person
that is reincarnated will be able to recognize and know people and
places he never visited and the life of a person who has died. In most
cases of reincarnation the previous life of the person ended
violently, some of the cases have even physical evidence of fatal wounds
that ended their previous life, such evidence in most cases are birth
marks on places were fatal injuries were employed.People misinterpret
signs of possible reincarnation by calling it Deja Vu.Deja Vu is in
French'were here'meaning that something that you are sure that had
already happened to you is happening again.
A strong case of reincarnation was found in Lebanon. In 1959 a child
called Imad Elawar started speaking and the first word he uttered was
Jamile. After he developed his speaking ability he started talking about
a village 30 kilometer from his own.One day when he walked with his
grandmother he rushed up to a man greeting him and telling him he was
his neighbor,as it turned out the man was from the village Imad used to
mention.Imad used to say that he was a member of the Bouzhamzy family he
spoke alot about a beauty called Jamile and he used to describe very
vividly an accident that took place in which both legs of a person were
crushed under a truck, the man soon afterwards died but he wasn't the
man.Imad expressed delight for being able to walk. This case came
to the knowledge of a professor called Ian Stevenson who decided to
investigate the case.Imad was reached by Stevenson when he was 5 years
old.Stevenson collected as many facts as possible about Imads former
life and he decided to go to the village named by Imad. Upon his arrival
he found out that there was a family named Bouzhami that lived in the
village and that a Said Bouzhami was ran down by a truck. What he also
found out was that Said had a cousin named Ibrahim,Ibrahim was the
black sheep of the village,he and his mistress called Jamile moved in
and lived together despite the disapproval of the villagers.Ibrahims
life came to an untimely end when he was 27 by tuberculosis,in his last
six month he was contained to his bed and he couldn't walk. After seeing
that the facts given to Stevenson by Imad were correct he returned and
took Imad to the village. On the way Imad could give exact names and
direction to the driver. Upon their arrival Ibrahims house was specially
opened for them.Imad, beforehand described the furniture in the house
and the description was exact. It was known that Ibrahim had a gun which
he concealed and wasn't ever found but Imad went straight to the hiding
place and came up with the gun.
The two main religions that support the theory of reincarnation are
Buddhism and Hindu. The religions say that each soul has a karma and each
life is a phase in the development of the soul the soul is bound to
return to life on earth in order to clear itself and to become
perfect. In each life the soul will achieve a karma, good or bad,if good
it will come back and live well if bad it will come back and suffer. This
is the way that the religion explains the differences between people in
our world. Most cases of reincarnation can be found, because of
religion,in India where Hindu and Buddhism rule but cases range all over
the world.
One of the most vivid and intriguing cases of reincarnation that got
international recognition is the case of Joan Grants novels. Joan Grant
was born in 1907 in England. While she was a child she used to say that
she lived former lives in which she lived in Egypt and was the daughter
of Pharaoh. These statements brought much embarrassment to the family and
she had to suppress all of her knowledge about former lives. When she
reached adulthood she went on a trip to Egypt where she was flooded with
memories of her previous families, her husband encouraged her to write
her memories down.In 1937 she wrote a book called 'Winged Pharaoh' in
which she described the life of Sekeeta a daughter of a Pharaoh that
lived 3000 years ago.She had done no research before writing the book
and she had almost no knowledge of Egypts ancient history. Her book was
reviewed by many Egyptologs and critics who all praised the book by
saying that it is a historical document although they disagreed with the
fact that Joan did no research whatsoever before the publication and
that she was actually Sekeeta.
The main explanation for Reincarnation in a surprising manner is a
supernatural one, meaning no conventional explanation except fraud was
raised.People that doubt reincarnation say that those who claim to have
been reincarnated actually are normal people with one exception they
have telepathic powers. Reincarnation is based on facts that people
shouldn't know but still they are in their minds,so they must have been
achieved by tempering with other minds of people who have acquired the
information in the conventional way.Still until today telepathic powers
hadn't been proved to a scientific level. The explanation for Deja Vus
though is quite acceptable.Research has shown that at times the sensory
input from our eyes maybe slower in one eye then the other and in that
case the brain gets the same information twice,a few nanoseconds
apart, and then we have the feeling that we are in a place for the first
time but actually a small portion of information is already in our brian
because of the faster input. A question that rises from the
reincarnation theory is why isn't the number of people who live on Earth
always the same? If souls leap from one body to the other we should have
a constant number of people living on earth. There is a possibility that
souls though jump backwards in time and not necessarily forward although
cases of reincarnation from the future are scarce and for the obvious
reason can't be proved. Reincarnation is and will be one of the greatest
mysteries our world holds,we could have been people of who we learn in
history classes today...
