We all have seen the many horror shows which deal with ghosts
    but have we ever thought seriously that the key to the enigma of
    afterlife lies in a parallel world of the deceased that is inhabited by
    ghosts?
   
    First of all lets try to define ghosts-ghosts are what we call
    physical apparitions of people,these apparitions seem to be vivid and
    contain nothing out of the order with the exception that the person we
    see is dead.
    People that have seen these apparitions all agree that the apparitions
    must be what makes bodies go about their day or in other words the
    soul.

    Most ghost sighting cases today are similar.A person or a group of
    people see an apparition of another person,dead in most cases,the
    apparition moves around or stands in one place without speaking or
    recognizing the people who look at it.The apparition usually can't be
    touched(if touched the hand will slip through it)and may walk through
    walls or float around.

    The evidence range around the globe again but one of the most astounding
    cases of unsolved apparition happened in 1964 in Detroit. A worker was
    eating his lunch while leaning towards a big press machine, suddenly the
    machine hummed to life and flew towards the man,his co-workers were sure
    he was doomed but all of a sudden he was thrusted out of the path of the
    machine.The man shaken but un-injured was asked how did he get out of
    the way,he answered by saying that a tall black man with coveralls
    pushed him out of the way.The man was searched for but no such man
    worked at the factory.The group of workers went on searching and they
    found out that a tall black man did work there and he was decapitated 20
    years ago while working on the same machine.

    This case is unexplained and contains every aspect a ghost can have but
    it also has an unusual characteristic,the ghost used force. The
    explanation of this occurrence is given by Psychokinesis.Psychokinesis
    is the ability to move objects by thought,the phenomena was proved in
    lab experiments as an existing ability of human beings,the ghost could
    have used Psychokinesis for saving the workers life since the ghost
    itself isn't a solid entity which can move things by touch. For the same
    reason of not having solidity the possibility that ghosts have much more
    developed mental abilities is possible,it is a known fact that blind
    people have far more better hearing and smelling abilities then normal
    people.

    One of the possible explanation given to the phenomena of seeing
    apparitions is again telepathic.People in distress may transmit a vision
    of themselves to another person who may pass the message telepathically
    to people around him,so if he sees the apparition so will everyone in
    the room with him.In this case the man who sends the message is still
    alive but on brink of death.Many cases of such nature were reported. A
    report that was submitted to the 'American Society for Psychical
    Research' in 1884 confirmed the thesis brought here. In 1874 a man was
    seated in his chair reading a book,as he lifted his eyes from the book
    he saw a woman who was a close friend of his from their school days.He
    wasn't expecting a visit so he called out in a happy voice"What are you
    doing here?" but the only answer he got was"I live here" from his mother
    who was seated behind me.The apparition disappeared the moment he opened
    his mouth.A few days later came the news that the woman he saw died at
    the time he saw her(the apparition). If this is true then ghosts or
    should we say apparitions have nothing to do with afterlife but still
    there are many apparitions of people who have died years ago and they
    appear,so how can that be?

    The question whether a telepathic projection is possible brought a new
    question to the minds of the researchers,could a person project his soul
    or a part of himself to another place acquire data about that place and
    bring it back?
    Their question was already answered,many people claiming to have the
    ability of creating an astral body came up to declare their ability.
    One of the people that were tested was named Ingo Swan.Swan was a
    Swedish U.N. delegate who had an addiction to cigars.Swan claimed that
    he could leave his body with his astral body and do it while he is fully
    conscious.
    The experiment which Swan had to pass was quite simple yet complex.
    A carton box was tied to the ceiling,Swan had to project his astral body
    to the ceiling and then to describe and draw what he saw in the box.
    Swans body was connected to electrodes coming from several machines that
    checked the physiological changes in him.Swan sat down in a comfortable
    armchair and started smoking a cigar,after a few minutes Swan started
    drawing.His drawings were the exact replicas of the drawings inside the
    box hanging from the ceiling.The experiment was repeated a few times
    with small changes,the box was hanged in another building and so on,the
    degree of success in most cases was high.

    Another interesting case of projecting a visible astral body was carried
    out by a well known Reverand-Max Hoffman.At the age of five Hoffman was
    an unfortunate victim of cholera in Germany.He was diagnosed dead and
    dully buried.On the same night his mother woke up and to her amazement
    she saw Hoffmans body(astral body)standing near her bedside,the astral
    body told her that he was not dead and that she should reopen his grave
    and save him,he also described the way that he was lying in his grave.
    The mother woke up her husband but the projection was already gone.This
    event reoccurred every night for four nights until the mother was
    persuaded and she reopened the grave.Hoffman was found as he described
    it and was shortly reanimated.In this case astral projection saved his
    life.

    From all the reports of astral projection a few mutual facts rise:
  a>The position of the astral body after separation is usually above the
       physical body and then it is thrusted into a vertical position near the
       physical body.
  b>There is a connection between the physical body and the astral body
       and it is in the form of a luminous silver cord from the brow(third
       eye)of the physical body to the back of the head of the astral body.This
       cord grows fainter as the astral body moves away from the physical body.
  c>Upon separation the astral body feel murkiness,a kind of gray fog with
       envelopes it and passes with time,visibility at first is limited but
       after a few minutes it returns to normal.
  d>While in the astral body touching physically an object is impossible
       and astral bodies can pass through walls,doors etc.
  e>The conscious force is the navigator.People who experienced astral
       projections claim to have needed only to think about a place and they
       were there.
  f>The suddenness of the return is noted in almost every case,the astral
       body is literally slammed into the physical body.
  g>The astral body travels at very high velocities.

    The projection of astral bodies and its high degree of success brings up
    questions like-is this the ultimate proof that there is something in our
    body that can be called a soul? The answer again is not conclusive,the
    ability to project an astral body was derived from the idea of
    projecting a telepathic message but many skeptics use just
    that,telepathic abilities,as the weapon against its
    authenticity.Skeptics claim that people like Ingo have very developed
    telepathic abilities and they can read the minds of his testers and that
    way draw the right drawings. This is backed up by the fact that not all
    astral projection experiments ended successfully but still the question
    remains unanswered for the experiments that did succeed.

    Earlier we asked the question of how can apparitions of people who have
    died years ago be there if ghosts are projections of some kind
    (telepathic or astral). Cases of these kinds of apparitions are known to
    exist mainly in England the home of the haunted. This specific haunting
    occurred on a battlefield at Edghille Warwickshire,on that field the
    first battle of Englands civil war was fought out on the date of 23rd of
    October 1643.The forces were led by the kings nephew Prince Rupert and
    the parliamentarian forces were led by Oliver Cromwell 5000 men found
    their death on that day. Two month later a strange occurrence was
    reported by shepherds that claimed that battle came to life and was
    fought out again.The news came to King Charles I ears,he sent some of
    his troops,among them men who fought at Edghile,to investigate the
    case.The men arrived at Edghile and began to taking statements from the
    locals.During their stay the men themselves witnessed the phenomena,they
    could recognize their dead comrades coming to live and fighting the
    fatal battle out again but the strangest fact of all was that Prince
    Rupert was seen among the fighters while to the investigators it was
    known that Prince Rupert is well and alive.

    The report is proof that dead people were seen to be walking around as
    if they are alive but how can we explain that Prince Ruppert was among
    them? As in the case of most haunting this one too is circumstanced by
    agony and painful death ,this fact and the reoccurrence of the battle or
    haunting,in other cases,caused researchers to come to the conclusion
    that these places aren't actually haunted by dead people they are
    haunted by actions.When something that causes agony,like a battle,
    happens it imprints itself into the area and the occurrence of the
    battle will return and happen time after time. Researchers called it an
    imprint on the Psychic Ether because usually only people with developed
    psychic abilities can spot such occurrences. The Psychic Ether is the
    area of our whole surroundings with the addition of the area in which
    souls of the dead are or unexplained occurrences happen,people with
    developed psychic abilities can see that Ether and thus will see more
    frequently such occurrences. This case was reassured by sightings of
    alleged ghosts that floated above the ground in places were former
    staircases stood or passing through walls were former doors were placed
    these facts again show that the actions are imprinted so if a staircase
    is taken away the "ghost" will continue to walk on it as if it were
    there. If the thesis brought above is correct then all battlefields
    should be haunted because the agony and energy exalted there should be
    immense but the fact is that only few battlefields have the history of
    being haunted and again the thesis stays proved but not proved.

    Another claim that confirms the existence of ghosts are the mediums and
    their messages from the next world.Mediums,unlike cases we discussed
    until now,can not see ghosts but they can talk to them. Most seances
    have a main structure that begins with the medium relaxing and going
    into a trance. During the trance itself the medium is controlled by
    another being a person who is dead and communicates with this world from
    the other world.During a trance,just like in a radio
    communication,disturbances may occur,the control may not fall into a
    synchronized state with the medium and this may cause problems with
    understanding the controls words thus he may not hear what we say to
    him.

    October 5 1930 was a sad day for the British RAF(Royal Air Force),on
    that day one of their new experimental air-ships crashed killing 48 of
    its 54 passengers.A couple of days after the tragedy a seance was being
    carried out at the National Laboratory of Physichal Research in London.
    The seance was witnessed by Harry Price a well known psychic
    investigator and the mediums name was Eileen Garret.The seances aim was
    to contact Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who had passed away recently but
    instead of hearing his voice they were surprised to be hearing a voice
    that claimed to be Flight Lieutenant H. Charmichael Irwin the pilot of
    the air-ship that had crashed just two days earlier. The Flight
    Liutenant,in short cut off sentences and a very scared voice started
    describing the causes and the events that brought on the disastrous
    crash.The details of this seance were written down by a reporter who was
    there during it.The facts that were given by the deceased Flight
    Lieutenant were compared six month later with the findings of an
    official inquiry and they were the same. The reporter that took down the
    seance published it and the paper got into the hands of a Mr.Charlton
    who was involved in the building of the air-ship,he was very impressed
    and he contacted Harry Price and asked for the full accounts on the
    seance.After reading the seance he was astonished,40 technical facts
    that the Flight Lieutenant gave were correct. This seance brought a
    brake through in the research of mediums because the facts brought out
    through the seance just two days(!!) after the disaster could have not
    been passed through telepathically because the details of the accident
    were not known yet so the main claim of the skeptics was answered.


    There are far more many reports on seances then I can bring here that
    were correct.Some researchers tried to trick mediums by bringing people
    with different identities but almost always the medium recognized
    the person and the attempts of the researchers to prove the mediums
    ability as fraud failed.In extreme cases researchers hired private
    detectives to watch every move of mediums and not to let them obtain
    information about the person that they were to bring up from the dead
    during the seance.
    The fact that all these precautions didn't help to break the mediums
    abilities build a very strong case for them.If mediums really contact
    the dead then a channel of communication has been opened to the next
    world or should I say a parallel world.The case of mediums brings me to
    the conclusion that there is a parallel world to ours in which the souls
    of the dead exist and can contact us through special dead spirits that
    act as mediums of that parallel world. In most cases of seances the
    medium is not taken over by the person that we want to talk to but by
    some control,a person that is dead himself,he creates the link.
    The peculiar fact about seances is that facts about the parallel world
    don't come up,the souls on the other side are aware of the fact that
    they are dead but they do not provide us with any information about the
    parallel world.Another interesting fact is that it seems that time is
    either suspended,non-existent or has no effect in the other world
    because usually the stage of development(age) of the souls that are
    contacted is the same as the time of their death.
    If there is one strong claim for life after death I believe it's in
    these seance.Facts that checked out to be correct and could have not
    been known to anyone but the dead proves that there is some authenticity
    in seances.
