Crystals, actually stones, have always fascinated me-their existence
is fantastic-a stone that you hold today will still be around here thousands
of years after you have passed away and it will bear your touch as it bears
the touch of many others before you and after you. They seem to be lifeless
sitting there, yet they stare at history as it passes by.

Without having any social structures stones have a hierarchy, you have
simple stones that are used by builders and are very common and then you 
have precious stones that are worn as a sign of status and are very rare.
In between you will find the rank of healing stones, mostly Crystals, that are
affordable yet can not be found sparsely. In the eyes of some these are the
truly precious and important stones since they can help people cope with
their physical and mental problems.

Crystals were used by the enigmatic people of Atlantis, legend has it that they
used Crystals as power sources for cities and villages, for healing, for agriculture,
for hypnosis and mind control.
Legend also says that the last is what brought the end on Atlantis since people 
statred using Crystals for the wrong reasons-they enslaved others, sent ailments
through Crystals and even killed through Crystals.
Today it is beleived by some that the Bermuda Triangle is the sinking place of 
Atlantis and the reason for the many disappearences in the area is a large 
Crystal, that was used as a power source, but today it is uncontroled and it sends
out bursts of energy that sometimes hit vessels and destroys them instantly without
leaving a trace.


As you can see people beleived that Crystals had immense power stored in them
and science today agrees to some extent with this beleife.Scientists today are
researching Crystals and the discoveries are astounding.Crystals can be used
to store data as a scientist at IBM has disocvered a liquid Crystal which is used
in watches but lets put all that aside and let us focus on the healing abilities of
crystals.

In the cultures of the far east the body is devided into 7 CHAKRAS, the 
definition of a CHAKRA is a sphere, in our case a sphere of inluence.Each
sphere in our body influences the enrgies of different body parts.

In a healthy body each of the spheres are balanced from within and among
themsleves,when that balance is lost the body and the soul are disturbed-the
distortion is manifested through ailments of the body and soul.

The crystals assist us in rebuilding the delicate balance in our body by providing
energy to the Chakras and thus replacing lost energies or supressing bad energies.
Each crystal emits a different type of energy which affects different proprieties,so
chossing a correct crystal can be a very complicated task.Proffesional healers
can sense or at least diagnose the source of the inbalance and pinpoint it to the
Chakra,this ability and the knowledge of how each crystal can affect the Chakra
enables healers to use crystals effectiveley in solving ones problems although 
this doesn�t mean that a person without knowledge can�t use crystals.

If a person feels comfortable or even attracted by a crystal it means it�s his crystal.
The crystal can be worn or held close to where one resides and the energy that
emmanates from it will help him,the larger the crystal the stronger the influence.

When the balance is restored the crystal becomes useless and it will soon disappear
either by simply being lost or the person who uses it will remove it.

The first Chakra is called Muladhara,it�s at the base of the spinal cord 
and it affects ones sponatnuity,independence and leadership.In case of 
disbalance one will show signs of violence and impulsivness.

Onyx.

The second Chakra is called Mnipura,it�s located above the spleen and
it affects ones security,curage,ambition and creativity.In case of
disbalance one will show signs of cruelty and laziness.
Crystals used to balance the Chakra:Golden Tiger Eye and Sitrin.

The third Chakra is called Svadhisthana,it�s located above the stomach
and it affects ones organizing ability and self discipline.In case of 
disbalance one will show signs of laziness and cowardness.
Crystals used to balance the Chakra:Citrin and Brown Calcite.

The fourth Chakra is called Anahata,it�s located above the heart and
it affects ones ability of  acceptence,generosity and sense of security.
In case of disbalance one will show signs of jealousy.
Crystals used to balnce the Chakra:Green Jade,Aventurine and
Rosequartz.

The fifth Chakra is called Visuddha,it�s located on the neck and it
affects ones patience and idealism.In case of disbalance one will show
signs of dipression,loneliness and conservativeness.
Crystals used to balance the Chakra:Ametist,Azurite and Lapis.

The sixth Chakra is called Ajna,it�s located above the nose and 
between the eyes,it is also known as the third eye.It affects telepathic
abilities and the ability to analize situations clearly.
Crystals used to balance the Chakra:Clean Quartz,Ametist,Lapis.

The seventh and last Chakra is called Crown,it�s located on top of ones
head and it affects creativity and humanity.
Crystals used to balance the Chakra: Pirite,Clean Quartz and Ametist.





In summing up this subject not much can be added,keep in mind that stones have been
around since the creation of this Earth and I beleive they must have a purpose.
Some healers may use stones that do not originate from this earth like Moldovite(a 
stone that can be found in Moldavia and originates from a meteor that fell in the area)
and others may use simple stones found everywhere on Earth but if they are useful
and they help you in some way use them do not be afraid of them,after all what is more
natural then a stone?
